Massage is all hype, right?

Yeah! A lot of massage IS hype — and you've probably been burned enough times to put up walls. The inflated claims, the cure-alls, the pay-for-play up-charges: your skepticism is earned. For some people, it shows up as an eye-roll at every vague promise. For others, it's a careful "prove it" that protects them from being disappointed again.

How We Approach This

We use clear treatment plans, pressure you can adjust, and techniques grounded in current pain science and nervous system research — not mystical explanations. We also tell you where massage's limits are, because there are some. If something isn't working or doesn't make sense, say so.

What to Discuss With Your Therapist

Tell your LMT what you've tried before, what helped or didn't, and what a meaningful result would actually look like. Specific and measurable beats vague and hopeful every time.

Between-Session Considerations

Track one or two concrete things between sessions — sleep quality, a specific movement that was painful, how long you felt relief. Real data tells you something. "I felt better for a while" doesn't.
