Migraines, Neck & Shoulder Pain

Who's a Good Fit For this Work

People with recurring headaches, jaw clenching, or neck and shoulder pain who want targeted work and realistic, trackable improvement.

Who's Not a Good Fit

Anyone wanting only a light spa neck rub without assessment or interest in follow-up suggestions.

Understanding What You're Experiencing

Headaches, jaw tension, and neck pain have a way of occupying the background of everything — present at your desk, on the drive home, there when you wake up, still there when you try to sleep. For some people, the pain feels like a band cinched across the forehead and collarbones. For others, it's a deep clamp in the jaw and upper back that won't let go no matter how much you stretch.

How We Approach It

We use focused neck and shoulder work, jaw and scalp release, graded pressure, and posture-aware positioning. We also pay attention to how your head sits on your neck and where tension tends to anchor — that changes what's useful.

What to Discuss With Your Therapist

Tell your LMT what your head, jaw, and shoulders feel like today, what tends to trigger them, and how long you've been dealing with it. If you've had imaging or been told anything specific about your cervical spine, share that.

Between-Session Considerations

Screen time, jaw clenching during sleep, and stress posture are common contributors. Notice whether symptoms are worse after specific activities or times of day — that pattern is worth bringing in.
