Pregnancy & Postpartum Care

Who's a Good Fit For this Work

Pregnant clients who want safe, non-pharmacological pain relief and clear coordination with their medical care — including the ability to lie face-down at any point in their pregnancy.

Who's Not a Good Fit

Clients expecting featherweight pressure, aesthetic belly massage only, or who want to dismiss positioning and safety guidelines.

Understanding What You're Experiencing

Pregnancy and postpartum pain is real and unnecessary to just tolerate. For some people, it's deep pulling across the low back and hips. For others, it's a sharp, shifting ache in the pelvis that makes every small task feel enormous — and the sleep deprivation and emotional load on top of that are their own kind of weight.

How We Approach It

We use special foam blocking to safely allow you to lie face-down at any point in your pregnancy — and after. We also use side-lying positioning, graded pressure, gentle abdominal and low back work, and hip and pelvic-focused techniques appropriate to where you are in pregnancy or postpartum.

What to Discuss With Your Therapist

Tell your LMT where you are in your pregnancy or postpartum recovery, what your OB or midwife has cleared, and what your body is asking for most today. If specific feeding positions or daily tasks are causing strain, those are worth naming.

Between-Session Considerations

Positioning matters a lot during this time — how you feed, hold, and carry your baby accumulates strain faster than most people expect. Small adjustments to daily habits can reduce what you're bringing into each session.
