Anxiety, Stress, and Nervous System Overload

Who's a Good Fit For this Work

Clients who feel fried, wired, or shut down and want quiet, grounding sessions that respect how stress actually shows up in the body.

Who's Not a Good Fit

People expecting a fast-fix relaxation hour with no interest in habits, nervous system load, or pacing.

Understanding What You're Experiencing

Stress and burnout have a way of quietly narrowing your life — less patience, smaller plans, shorter fuse — until the version of you that used to handle things starts feeling like someone else. For some people, the body feels stuck on high alert — tight, jumpy, mind racing. For others, it feels more like a heavy fog where everything goes flat and hard to start.

How We Approach It

We use slow, steady pressure, rhythmic nervous-system-aware touch, supportive positioning, and a quiet environment to help your body shift out of constant fight-or-flight. The pace stays yours. We're not rushing anything.

What to Discuss With Your Therapist

Tell your LMT what stress feels like in your body right now — where you carry it, how it shows up in your sleep, and what you're hoping feels different when you leave. The more specific you can be, the better we can adapt.

Between-Session Considerations

Notice when your body first signals overload during the week — tight jaw, shallow breath, neck tension — and treat those as data, not problems to push through. Small breaks and consistent sessions tend to compound over time.
